Process.
Every winter I’m big on making paper snowflakes. I cut tons of them. This year I decided to turn them into ornaments as Christmas gifts for friends.
First I cut a few different designs, then I scanned them into the computer and traced them in Illustrator. I printed and rubber cemented the patterns to my sheet metal, cut along the lines with my jeweler’s saw, and refinished each shape with files and sandpaper. Voila!

I have a place on Tumblr dedicated to personal ramblings and whatnots, and I have another space dedicated to images of my metalwork and jewelry designs, but I’d like to create a space for the in-between — the place that exists somewhere between my initial inspiration and the finished product. This seems pretty fitting!

I’m a metalsmith, jewelry designer, graphic designer, illustrator.
I obtained my BFA from Edinboro University in 2009 in the Applied Media Arts, with a concentration in Graphic Design and a minor in Metalsmithing. Now I work steadily as a bench jeweler at a well-reputed & independently-owned jewelry store in my hometown, and I dedicate the majority of my free time to working on my own jewelry line soon to be found HERE, at my Etsy shop.
